Octavo. Original patterned boards with black cloth backstrip, paper label printed in black to front board, lower edge untrimmed, b&w frontispiece portrait of Hernia Whittlebot by Gladys Calthrop. Minor split to upper joint, edges rubbed and chipped, partial tanning to boards and endpapers, small loss to head of spine, corners bumped. Internally clean and tight. Lacks the dust jacket. A good copy.

This copy bears a presentation inscription from Noel Coward on the front free endpaper, "I can't write much in this dear - you were responsible for half of it Noel".
